Our policy is clear and it is our goal to be fully compliant with the information privacy and security laws such as Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) and The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA)
We are education related and work with the Privacy Officer at each facility that is represented or who engages with MeMA-MUSIC to be sure that all activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of our relationship adhere to the facilities policies and procedures addressing privacy and access to protected information.
We collect no personally identifiable information (PII) about you unless you choose to provide that information to us.  Any PII you chose to provide is fully protected.  Non-PII information related to your visit to our websites may be automatically collected and temporarily stored.

Types of Information Collected
When you browse through any website, information about your visit can be collected. We automatically collect and temporarily store the following information about your visit: the name of the domain you use to access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are using an American Online account), the date and time of your visit; the address of the website you came from when you came to visit.
Session and Persistent Cookies
When visiting websites, a small text file called a “cookie” may be placed on your computer. This allows Mema-Music.com to collect non-PII data while you are navigating through the website. Mema-Music.com uses two types of cookies on its websites:  Session cookies are temporary text files that expire when you leave our websites. When cookies expire, they are automatically deleted from your computer.  Persistent cookies are multi-session cookies that are stored on your computer they are automatically deleted from your computer after a period of time. We may use persistent cookies to collect non-PII data about users who frequently visit our Site and to test variations of our site design and content to optimize our web pages. If you do not want cookies placed on your computer, you can set your browser to block them. Blocking these cookies from your computer will not affect your access to the content and tools in our website.

How We Use Information
Except for P-II Information, we may use Non-PII information for our own marketing purposes, including, but not limited to, notifying you of special programs and events via postal mail, e-mail, telephone, text message, and other means. Confidential Personal Information will not be used for our own marketing purposes without your express consent.
We may also use Personal Information and Non-Personal Information for non-marketing purposes.  Some examples of such use include (1) processing and fulfilling reservations or appointments; (2) conducting statistical or demographic analysis; (3) tracking program participation; (4) customizing your experience; and (5) responding to your inquiries or other communications.
Disclosure
MeMA-Music.org does not disclose, give, sell or transfer any personal information about our visitors, unless required for law enforcement or by statute.
Intrusion Detection
For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, we employ software programs to monitor traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. In the event of authorized law enforcement investigations, and pursuant to any required legal process, information from these sources may be used to help identify an individual.
Security
The Site has industry standard security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under its control. While there is no such thing as “perfect security” on the Internet, the Company takes reasonable steps to insure the safety of your personal information.
